What is a Denture?
A denture is a removable prosthetic replacement for missing teeth and the surrounding gums. Usually made from acrylic or cast metal. There are two types of dentures are available — complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

How long will my denture last?
Most dentures will last between 7 to 10 years with the proper denture care as well as having the denture relined and refitted every 2 to 3 years. Over time your gums will shrink and dentures become worn and don’t fit as well, so it’s important to reline them regularly.

How do I keep my dentures clean?
At least twice a day, remove the denture from your mouth to clean with warm water and a soft brush. For stubborn stains use a non abrasive neutral detergent. Avoid Regular tooth paste and use a denture paste. A professional clean every 6 months will make your denture easy to keep clean.
